Obesity on the rise in pet populations

From the Voice of the Valley- We all know that the United States has an alarming rate of people whom are obese, but a recent study found that American pets are also experiencing the same weight problems. “A 2012 survey by the American Veterinary Medical Association reported that 53% of pet dogs and 58% of pet cats are reported as overweight or obese.  That translates to 37 million dogs and 43 million cats!” To read more from the study and Voice of the Valley, click here.
