UNO student establishes Project Humane Nepal
There are thousands of dogs roaming the streets of Nepal and especially in Kathmandu. These pups don’t belong to anyone in particular and, as you can imagine, have little shelter, water, refuge. Some kind souls take dogs in, but there are thousands of others that get ill, injured or killed in the streets with no home of their own.
We recently learned of a UNO student, who we’ll soon speak with in detail about this project, who is traveling to Nepal this summer to establish an animal clinic for these vagrant dogs. This “free health camp” will treat dogs that are sick and use preventative care to keep others healthy as part of Project Humane Nepal.
Our Pet Partner Long Dog Fat Cat is supporting the donation process that will equip this noble traveler with supplies needed to set up shop. Below is a flyer that details what is needed.
Stop by Long Dog Fat Cat’s 16909 Burke Street location in Village Pointe this Saturday, April 18 from 12 – 7 to donate supplies. Sunday, April 26 from 12 – 4 p.m. is the second collection day for supplies. In the meantime, a donation box will reside at Long Dog for monetary contributions.
