Harley has been in the shelter too long. Can you help?

By on July 14, 2016

Midlands Humane Society in east Council Bluffs is a cozy and new facility. That said, dogs there would much rather be in forever homes! Harley is a sweet girl who has been at Midlands far too long. If you are considering adoption, take a look! If you know someone looking for a pup, share! Or, if you just want to see Harley find her home, please spread this story. She deserves to be with her new family ASAP.

About Harley, from Kelley McAtee of Dharma Dog Training:

Harley is a very nice girl. She is friendly, playful, and affectionate. She likes to run and chase balls. She is very active, but has no problem being calm. She gets along with all ages of kids. She would not be happy in an apartment and would thrive in a 6-foot-fenced yard. She knows all commands like, sit, lay down, shake, heel. She fetches, too! She likes to come over and lay her head on your lap while you scratch her head.”

What else could you want?!

Harley is about two years old. The adoption fee for Harley is $150 (which covers microchip, all shots, and spaying).

Harley can only be adopted outside the city limits of Council Bluffs (breed restrictions there…) and does have some requirements to adopt. They include:

1) Can only be adopted to areas where Pit Bulls are allowed.
2) Home Inspection
3) Background Check (Adopter Pays For This)
4) Home owner/Landlord Approval
5) Vet Reference
6) Meet and Greet with Resident Dogs
