Town and Country Animal Rescue needs help

By on January 17, 2024

The Town and Country Humane Society in Papillion, Nebraska, experienced a heating and water outage in its buildings over the weekend. To ensure the safety and comfort of the animals, more than three dozen cats, dogs, and other critters were relocated to the homes of staff members and foster pet families. The shelter relies on well water, and the lack of running water due to the extreme cold weather has made it challenging for staff to clean kennels, provide clean dishes, and do laundry on a daily basis. The humane society is seeking assistance from the public in the form of donations. Items such as blankets, towels, and water, in any size, are greatly appreciated. They are also in need of bleach and other laundry supplies. Additionally, donations of toys or other items to keep the animals happy and occupied are welcome. The humane society is open to receiving power generators as well. Donated items can be dropped off at the shelter’s location, and monetary donations can be made through their website.
