Wooftrax generated over $60,000 for U.S. shelters in 2014

Late last year, we told you about a cool smartphone application that tracks the walks you and your dog take, then turns your steps into donations for local animal shelters. The app is called Wooftrax and if you did not read about it before, check out the article we posted here.

We, just like everyone else who has downloaded and used the app, just received an email from Doug Hexter, CEO at Wooftrax, Inc., informing us that donations were sent to over 4,200 shelters across the country as a result of dog walking efforts. Over $60,000 was donated to shelters in all 50 states and 2015 looks to be even better for the app and participating shelters.

If you haven’t already, download the app in the Google Play store or in the App Store. It’s free and super easy to use. The app will total your walks and donate to the closest participating shelter to you unless you specify that you want to donate to a specific organization. The Nebraska Humane Society is a participating shelter and we recommend tagging them when you walk.

Keep walking and thanks to Wooftrax!
