All Shelters and Rescues: Count your Animals, get $1,000

By on April 12, 2016

You — yes, you! — can help every animal shelter and rescue group you support get $1,000 or more, just by counting noses.

Maddie’s Fund® is giving $1,000 to shelters and rescue organizations who sign up for Shelter Animals Count (SAC) between now and April 30. What can you do about it?

Contact animal organizations and tell them about this opportunity! You can email them a link to this blog post, or share it with them on on their social media channels. You can even go old school, and pick up the phone.

Let them know that Shelter Animals Count is the only collaborative initiative to create and share a national database of sheltered animal statistics, providing facts and enabling insights that will save lives. They can learn more, or sign up, by visiting today.

If an organization you contact is already signed up — or after they do — they can earn an additional $500 for every qualified group they refer that completes the registration process.

#ThanksToMaddie and to you, we’re going to make every homeless pet count!

About Maddie’s Fund: The Maddie’s Fund® mission is to revolutionize the status and well-being of companion animals.

Maddie’s Fund is a family foundation founded in 1994 by Workday co-founder Dave Duffield and his wife, Cheryl, who have endowed the Foundation with more than $300 million. Since then, they have awarded more than $172 million in grants toward increased community lifesaving, shelter medicine education, and pet adoptions across the U.S. The Duffields named Maddie’s Fund after their Miniature Schnauzer, Maddie, who always made them laugh and comforted them during stressful business times when Dave was launching a startup software company. Maddie was with Dave and Cheryl from 1987-1997 and continues to inspire them today.

Maddie’s Fund is the fulfillment of a promise to an inspirational dog and the creation of a goal towards achieving a no-kill nation where all healthy and treatable shelter dogs and cats are guaranteed a loving home. #ThanksToMaddie.

So- follow the directions above, share this post and contact your friends in shelter and rescue organizations! What a great way to earn some money for them and move Maddie’s mission along.
